I need some help with tires
Posted by The Rodfather on 11/18/11 at 1:28 pm10
I would really like to get some M/T's or aggressive A/T's for my truck. Problem is I have a 2011 Silverado with the 20" rims and im getting a leveling kit. I need 33" x ~11.5" (preferably) but I can't really find anyone that makes that. Please help a fellow OBer out. Thank you.

Probably gonna have to go with a metric size

What Downshift said. There are plenty of metric tire size converters on the web to help you out.

285/60/R20 Goodyear Dura-trac
tire size in inches = 33.46"x 11.22"
These are going to cost you a shite load though. Anytime you get tires with a rim size above 16-17" the price gets astronomical.

Thank you. I was looking at metric sizes but still seemed limited on what was out there.

295/55/20 (33x12) Nitto Trail Grapplers
Online tire is running a sale on BFG and Miclhelin right now. Well not a sale but free shipping. They also have pretty good prices.
One last size I thought of which is what you wanted, 275/60/20 (33x11). That size is usually pretty cheap, around 200 a tire.

you are the man than you I will be checking these out. I figured if i didn't go too wide the mpg delta wouldn't be too bad. the factory tire is ~32x~11 so this would work great. I just need to get some A/T or better for traction
Again thanks for all ya'll help, except the bitter Ford dude that had to bash Chevy.

Nog, most tires in that size are street tires but I believe there are a few ATs, terra Grapplers and Cooper zeon ltz come to mind. I have seen a few Chevys with the coopers and they look great.
Some good websites with good prices:
Discounttiredirect.com
Treaddepot.com
Onlinetires.com
Just watch out for shipping prices.

I'm about to need to replace the tires on my rig; have factory 20s and want all terrains as well. Help needed as well.
I was thinking, maybe these: LINK
Since BFG is quite expensive.

Looking hard at the Cooper Zeons and BFG Rugged Terrains, any experience?
re: I need some help with tiresPosted by The Rodfather on 11/18/11 at 2:20 pm to The Rodfather
I wish I could find a BFG in that size range A/T TO that wasn't range E

BFG and cooper both make very good tires in my experience.

Well Thank you OB, I have it narrowed down to 2 now, before I came here I didn't feel I had any good options.
felt these were fitting.

Just go with some BFG A/Ts and be done with it.
