how hard is this for people to grasp?

When the offense is geared like this, he's no different than say Alex Smith. His job is to stay within his capabilities and not frick anything up.

That defense is playing lights out and is the real star of the show right now.

I get that he keeps winning, and I'll certainly give him credit for that, but he's doing it as a 'game manager' and not some out of the box superstar.

Which bucks the recent trend. Most franchises would like to have a super star QB, a guy like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. The fact that they are winning the way they are in the modern NFL is impressive.

I agree... and Tebow should get credit for doing just that. Instead guys are saying he's the worst QB in the history of the game.

true- but if that defense wasn't playing at this level, they'd be an absolute mess.

from the prototypical QB standpoint, he's pretty terrible- but really, who cares?

Some teams just pay a guy to hand off and not frick up. They've just tweaked his role into something he's more comfortable with.

It would be nice if they ran the spread the entire game.

170 yards, 1 td and 0 turnovers = solid game manager.

They're 5-5. Tebow has beaten the dreadful Dolphins, shitty Chiefs, and average Raiders and Jets. Can he play a whole season before you say the Broncos are "impressive?"

Game's over if the D doesn't keep it's form.

Like 3 weeks ago when Denver and Tebow lost 45-10 to the Lions.

Denver getting more than 17 points a game will be tough.

As the season goes on, defending their attack should get easier due to their limited playbook.

The Pats should have a field day.

Havent they won like 3 out of 5 games in the last 2 minutes? That game against MIA wasnt the defense, that was Tebow...

I'm not saying the D hasnt been good bc it has been very good but Tebow has been very good in the 4th qtr

Sounds like some college team that I know.

I'd say he's done it very well actually.

Very few turnovers, and 4-1.

In an extremely limited sample size, you can't ask for much more from a game manager.

Game manager in his first year or two is just fine.

Big Ben won a SB as a game manager (2005). Now he's a legit SB winning QB.

His teammates sure as shite seem to be willing to go through a wall for him. I will say this, the Broncos seem to care...A LOT. In pro sports where everyone has a certain degree of real talent, I think actually caring more than your opponent can make a bad team average and an average team decent.

I do think that they will need very good to elite RBs, and continue building the defense if they're going to be a consistent playoff team. I honestly see a ground/pound, killer D doing just fine in the AFC West though...at least for the foreseeable future.

Oh and at the Broncos thinking that playing Tebow and seeing him struggle will cause the fans to realize it will be beneficial to not play him. They've created an absolute monster.

it buys you time to develop. If you make risky stupid mistakes, you get benched and you never develop.

At least he's giving himself a shot to find his niche which in a lot of places wouldn't happen
