34 years I've been a Tiger fan and nothing comes close to this season.

2003 was magical to say the least, but we didn't know we were in to the very last second. That also holds true for 2007. In both seasons there were letdowns. 2003 losing to Florida at home and 2007 losing two overtime games to Kentucky and Arkansas. But this season, LSU is on the verge of possibly one of the greatest NC seasons that are only dreamed about. The most impressive thing about this season so far, is that we haven't had any crazy good luck in winning any game. Every game was won because this team's desire to win, period. No trick plays or a fumble/int late in the game when it looked like the game was over. Besides the Bama game, every game was decided early in the forth quarter. Now, here is what will make this season the best ever for us fans. Look at what we had to accomplish to get where we are today and then look what we still have to do to win the NC. Im going to put a W for the Ole Miss game. We all know what's ahead after that, 3 great opponents. Win those three and you will witness your LSU Tigers becoming one of the greatest teams of the modern era.

Just a little lagniappe, this team will be better next year. WOW!

You and I are near in age. And I've been on this roller coaster so long. This year, I feel I'm just gliding. It's amazing

Even though this may be LSU's greatest team ever when they pull the undefeated season off I'm still gonna say 2003 was the most magical season. Nobody was expecting that ride to happen and nothing will match the excitement for me.

I started watching at the same time. I never could have imagined a season like this when I was growing up. It has been the ultimate dream season so far. I hope we follow through and this LSU team should be considered with the greatest of all time. I think it is our year to run the table and top it off in New Orleans. We will beat whomever they decide should be runner-up this year.

What do you consider the modern era? Post WWII football? Post one-platoon football? Post Civil Rights/segregated football?

Very good question. For me, college football has changed in so many ways in the past 25 years. Television exposure, modern science, coaching specialist at every position and so on. So I will say the last 25 years.

This season has been amazing, but something about 2003 was just incredible. I guess it being so soon after we sucked so bad made it more incredible.

Been watching about the same time and I have told several people I have not seen an LSU team like this. Every game has been fun to watcht and not too stressful. I like this team and know we are going to win out. It has been fun living in Florida this year not having to listen to the jort crew talk about how lucky we have been. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Best season so far in the history of the program. 2003 was magical and put it just ahead of the saints winning the superbowl. We will see how this season will end soon.

I've been going to Tiger Stadium since 1969 and I'm really enjoying the ride.
