BYU and Boise to join Houston and SMU in the "Western Division." I guess it's UConn, Rutgers, L'ville, Cincy, USF and UCF in the East and two more teams to be named later (Air Force won't be one of them) in the West. Going with the "regional pairs/rivals," theme, CSU and Wyoming make sense.

As long as they lose their automatic BSC bid....

That actually sounds better idea than previous considerations.

What it this going to look like for basketball? I'm sure Jim Calhoun is going to love that mid-week trip to Provo.

This will suck for all other sports who have to travel from say...New York to Idaho just to play a conference game.

Tulane and Southern Miss may make a good pair.

The West Coast schools would be joining as football members only.

BYU has their olympic sports in the WCC currently and Boise would put their in either the WAC, Big Sky or WCC as well.

Good point. Would be nice to see Tulane move the needle again.

The Big East is going to be an absolute Charlie Foxtrot. Different set of schools for every sport, will end up covering all four time zones on the mainland, could end up with an even more ridiculous number of basketball teams.

They'll fall apart within a few years.
