I seriously doubt this will happen although it certainly can happen (thinking fondly back to 2007) but for chit-chat sake what IF LSU loses to Ark. and Ok State loses to Oklahoma? You would have ALL of the top 10 teams in the country (assuming the others win out) with identical 11-1 records......

LSU 11-1
Ok. State 11-1
Ala. 11-1
Oregon 11-1
Oklahoma 11-1
Arkansas 11-1
Clemson 11-1
Virginia Tech 11-1
Stanford 11-1
Boise State 11-1

Now, take it a step further and throw in the conference championships w SEC + Pac10. IF this scenario were to unfold my guess is the winner of the SEC championship game (assuming they come out of SEC west: LSU/ARk/Ala) would play Oregon - assuming they win the Pac10 conference championship. Oklahoma would be screwed b/c their confused conference is NOT having a championship game this year. That is just messed up...... Thoughts on this?

Caveat: You would think the voters would take into what the BCS talking heads call "body of work" and give LSU some slack and give them the SEC west and keep them ahead of Ark. since they did beat Alabama and Oregon. Ark. hasn't beaten a top 10 team yet based on current records.

Well your statement is a hypothesis. I am actually crossing my fingers that LSU & OK St win out, and this would be the final puzzle for a perfect BCS season match up.

And you are forgetting that each conference champion will be 12-1 so your hypothesis is wrong.

LSU cannot lose to Ark. That loss would be a fly in the ointment of biblical proportions.

Taking it a step further (add. hypothesis) YOU are correct: 12-1 records for conference championship winners. Does that imply in your mind that the conference champions in SEC and Pac10 play for the BCS championship?

NOTE: I like the idea of LSU and Oklahoma State winning out and then there is NO argument by anyone with a loss. That would then the perfect calm...

You are bastardizing this thread. Aside from being Germans, the team with the highest ranking goes.

If your scenario plays out, then LSU will drop below Bama and Bama will get to the SEC championship according to the SEC tiebreaker rule.

They likely will face and defeat Georgia and will be in the BCS Championship.

The BCSNCG will be canceled and Houston will automatically be declared Champion.

Head to head of the two highest in the BCS, assuming the top 2 are within 5 spots of each other (they should be in this case). Otherwise, the highest rated goes.

to me the perfect storm would be okie state losing and LSU losing to UGA in the sec championship game. there is a chance (perhaps small) that LSU and Bama would remain 1 & 2. So you could have 2 SEC teams in the BCSCG while neither would have won the conference.

Mo' money fo' the SEC! It's the only case where 3 teams from 1 conference can make the BCS.

And under your scenario, LSU would go from being the #1 team in the country, to not even playing in a bcs bowl.
