Les screwing with something that doesnt need fixing. We got here by Lee starting and JJ coming in occasionally. The right call was made to hand JJ the bama game but there is not another bama or its equivalent defense on our remaining schedule.

If Miles insist on starting JJ and playing him 95% of the games, the opposing D will adjust accordingly and we go back to 2010.
Unless JL screw up like during the bama game, JL should be the starter. I am not saying JL is better than JJ but what we have it has been working to near perfection with a perfect record. Why fool around now Les? Chemistry and rhythm are very important to a team success that which took 3/4 season to build. Now is not the time to experiment with a championship within our grasp.

I don't think starting JJ was wrong in any way, really unless Miles told JL something else. In fact, if LSU wins the NC few people will care at that time who the QB was.

Only thing that worries me, is if tinkering with the QB's comes back to bite LSU on the arse, Les Miles will probably have a hard time recovering again.

So is it a general consensus that JJ was reinserted as starter due to the Alabama performance?

Well, many of us predicted the first sign of trouble that Lee would have a very short rope. Will see what happens in the Ole Miss game.

Are you kidding? IMO Les wanted JJ specifically to work on his passing since he missed those first 4 games. How many times did you see a designed run for JJ? Maybe twice?

Lee will start in the next two games IMO. I was glad to see the props given from Lee to JJ and vice versa on tv last night.

It is a team. Back them up and quit all this bitching and the "what if" garbage. Sounds a lot like ESPN. Back up the #1 team in the country for 5 weeks now and is 10-0 since 1958. Some of you would bitch about bitching.

I have been kinda staying away from here, but I thought Lee didn't start because he skipped class.

Either way, I have no problem with JJ starting. This was a chance to get him in a game and let him throw it some more.

I really don't understand peoples reaction to this.

I actually think JJ does better coming off the bench. If you watch JJ's body language coming in relieve there is certain cockiness and confidence when he runs onto the field. Like in basketball there are certain player that should be starting but comes off the bench as a sixth man.

With JL fragile psyche, Les might have ruined the kid. JL does not look comfortable playing in relieve with a short leash.

I hope that is the case of Miles getting JJ to work on his passing game. But knowing Les, I would not be so confident that is his reasoning.

Les will not, I'm telling you, will not put JL on the back burner. He won't.

He won't not use JJ either. We wouldn't have this record if Miles had doubts in JL.

That is a fact.

JL will start and play well against Ole Miss.

Against ala., Les did not want and could not repeat LSU vs. ala. 2008 lee interceptions as in 4, get it!

To go on a tangent, there was a lady next to me who was literally screaming, "Keep the jailbird on the sidelines." Referring to JJ.

Then moments later she called T-Bob a "bow legged freak who shouldn't be out there."

I really hate some of our fans sometimes.

With JL fragile psyche

Why do people say this?
I just don't see it.
Seems to me a tough kid who's been through a lot here, but still does his best.

Same for JJ.
JJ took the negativism from some fans, thumbed his nose, and played ball.

Hell, I'm proud of them both.

JL hasn't learned to make good decisions while under pressure, could translate into fragile psyche.
It seemed our running game, namely Spencer Ware, performed better when JL was under center. Play action also worked better IMHO.

I am going to give Coach Miles the benefit of the doubt and assume that he know more about football than I and the 300 million people here on this board. Although i do realize that there are at least 500 people writng as I speak that have five Super Bowl rings.

There appeared to be a method to his madness, but I can't pretend to know that. As for sharpening Jefferson's skillset, I can see that. As for cracking Lee's confidence, I don't see that. Lee has impressed me as a solid player with his head on straight since the interception debacle years ago. I think that W. Ky, the school, not the gel, was a good place to have Jefferson get extended playing time. I think it was a prep for throwing some long balls if we need him to do that down the raod. For all the people waiting to hold the crystal prize at the end of the season, remember this. We still have two regular season teams to play who would LOVVVVVVE to beat the Tigers. Ole Miss can salvage a season, and Arkansas has big game dreams with us in the way. I am just happy we have them at home, but that is NO guarantee. We need everybody on that team rested, healthy, confident, and ready to eat nails for every remaining game should it come to that. To me, there is the expereince of practice, and the crucible of play under the lights. You need both. I am beginning to like the interchageable nature of substitution during the game. People come in ready and raring to play at other positions. I am starting to see the qb position in a similar manner.

Coach Miles, should you actually read this board, which I hope you don't, you just keep on keeping on and ignore everyone, especially me.
