Would the fanbase be screaming more for the uncalled hit to the head.....I think so but since it was JJ all the dumbasses overlook that it should have been a 15yd penalty b/c they would rather bitch about JJ.

Shocker thatyou make a thread like this.

Yea, let's ignore JJ holding the ball for-ev-er because there was a maybe penalty.

They didn't overlook it. Hell they probably cheered when it happened. I can't think of anything that would make them happier than a season ending injury for JJ.

They would be bitching about the play call because we only sent out 1 WR who ended up being double covered.

Yeh b/c I notice that the JL supporters do not support the players the same. I pull for either QB and just find it amusing how yall will ignore the fact that the ref blew the call. But after reading so many post from the JL fans I realize how stupid the majority of you are.

Yea heaven forbid that if JL were in he just might have done what he has done all year and check us out of a bad play and get rid of the ball quckly.

So JJ made a good decision on the play then?

Good point. I thought it was a strange play call. Very high risk, only one, going deep. Why didn't they trust enough to have a short and medium receiver? Didn't think the line could block? Why not go to a quick slant for 10 yards?

If it were JL they probably would have thrown out of trouble and been on the 30 yard line instead of in the end zone.

LNCHBOX-So JJ made a good decision on the play then?

He didn't force the ball into double coverage and had no other check down options. I don't think he made a good decision b/c I would have rather seen him scramble and throw it away.

JL would have done what quarterbacks have been taught to do since the forward pass was invented and that's when you have a one option play, such as a one receiver sideline route going deep - drop back, if he's open throw the route, if he's not throw it out of bounds. Simple really, yet JJ decided to hold it and, presumably, check his other options, of which there were none. So he took a sack and a safety.

Which he has done over and over again throughout his years here.

It was a high risk play call that the WKU defense was not buying. If it worked, would anyone be complaining about it today?

one of the more interesting things to me on the play was that with the double coverage on Beckham, we were at worst blocking 9 on 9, but maybe even 9 on 8 (I think the other safety stayed deep).

and yet the blocking still didn't hold them off that long. I love this OL, but I want a few more of those pockets McCarron was getting where our QB has all day to stand back there if he so chooses. I mean, it was WKU.

This is about how fricking stupid the JL fans are that proclaim to be LSU fans. LSU fans would have been more concerned with the fact the ref didn't call a blow to the head of the QB giving us a 1st down.
