I really hate that our win from "the game of the century" was...

Virtually ignored bc of Penn state. This isn't an ESPN HATES LSU thread. Just seems stupid to spend an entire week talking about off the field issues. I know it's a big deal but literally the only news I've caught on the game was from here.

I am not....would have just been a bunch of Coast biased SEC haters poking fun at our qb's and talking about how disappointed they were

Wouldn't have mattered. For the most part, media didn't want to talk about the game anyway. Not enough touchdowns scored.

Dont sweat it Bruh. Joe Pa is a historical figure in college football. These events are kind of like tearing down the Statue of Liberty to much of the sports world. We will get back in the light when it comes to playing Ole Miss, Arkansas, the SECCG, and the BCSNC.

Sorry, but what happened there is way more important than football.

Exactly. In fact, may have saved some LSU fans for staying in a pissy mood because of ESPN for another two weeks.

I mean, we pretty much heard all week how we simply couldn't stack up to bama. No praise, no crow, just child molesters.

Let the news cover it. It's a sports network, not fox news or TMZ.

They weren't going to praise LSU for the win anyway. Praising LSU isn't going to boost ratings, ESPN needs to promote Stanford and Okie Light. LSU has been number one for 7 weeks and they need to stir the pot.

I really wasn't expecting praise. Just some acknowledgement. And I really couldn't care less about that. Just some fricking coverage

Nothing good about the PS thing...

But I think that a few weeks out of the spotlight is good for the Tigers. Let everyone concentrate on Stanford and Okie while LSU goes about its business. Fewer distractions.

The rest of the country doesn't give a shite about LSU. 5 minutes after LSU beat bama, the national conversation turned to "Who will win the right to play LSU in New Orleans?" It's much more interesting to the rest of the country, and I am perfectly fine with that.

Lots of things are more important than football.

Y'know, sports is meant to be a getaway from a lot of crap in the real world. In a small, selfish way, I admit wanting college football to continue right after 9/11; I wanted so have a bit of normalcy and escape the news of the day then too. I called Hannegrif's show and we talked off-air about it for maybe 10 minutes.

It does suck that this has taken away from maybe the biggest postgame week in LSU history. I don't turn on ESPN etc to keep abreast of all the scuzzy things going on all over, I want to see something that makes me smile and feel less stressed. LSU going in and beating Bama on their home turf should have been a little beacon of happiness for all Tiger fans, and an interesting topic for college football in general, like the Nebraska-Oklahoma or Michigan-Ohio State games were. Instead, our game is a side-note at best as the scandal in Penn State unfolded.

Yeah I agree. The child rape coverage is ridic. I haven't heard much about this weeks games bc every caller on xm91 just has to give his $.02 about child rape and joepa and the result is every caller and every host say essentiAlly the same things and the actual games are not discussed. Damn, everyone hates child rape. Quit calling the radio to tell the world you hate it too.

You said it right. I listen to sports bc it is so unimportant. I will listen to real news when I want ton hear about grand jury testimony.

Just noticed Your thread was anchored. Congrats! Even here, thou shalt not question the child rape coverage.

thought this too but then realized the break would be good and don't need hype about playing WK.
