Does Houston think they are proving something to the world by running up the score on all these terrible opponents they play? In my opinion, its only showing how really irrelevant they are. I wish they could go to a good bowl and play a real team and have someone beat the crap out of them.

I agree, it looks like an act of desperation.
The whole "look at me" thing is adorable

edit: by the way, might want to add more words to thread title to avoid anchor/whack

How do you figure they ran it up? It was 0-0 after the first quarter and they took out their starting QB in the third quarter and put in the backup. I think they tried to slow it down. Not their fault Tulane sucked so bad.

Did you even watch? They only threw 29 times all night. An offense that normally has over 60 pass attempts.

they ran more last night than at anytime this year. Maybe they should have just taken a knee for most of the game. Or maybe Tulane should learn to tackle

Its not just this game. In most of these recent blowouts, Keenum has played well into the 4th quarter. Not just played, he passed well into the 4th quarter. And some of these games were well out of hand. Maybe its just because that is their style of offense, but from my perspective, it looks kind of sad and desperate.

Well, they are not an automatic qualifier, so I'm sure some of the scores have a little bit to do with appealing to the voters.

until there is a playoff system, teams need to run it up to prove there worthiness.

deal with it.

Butthurt Tulane fan?

And even in the game where he had 9 touchdowns they took him out around the 3-4th quarter mark..

"running up the score" is such a stupid complaint.

If you don't like it, stop us.

Thats easy to say when Houston plays high school football teams. Granted, Houston's taking the schedule given to them (for the most part with the exception of OOC--which is beyond terrible), but its amazing that to feel validated/approved, they have to score 70 points a game against these sorry teams.

If you want to be listed in the same sentence as the big boys, scheduling North Texas, La Tech, and Georgia St outside of your already week conference slate is not helping your image.
