They get waxed by OU who recruits all their players from TX

It's silly for UT to not be on the dominant side of that rivalry

Just ask who they would put above LSU and then shoot them down.

I feel you keith... I've been arguing with my Texas friend because of this article in the Statesman:

He failed to realize that even with putting the hammer on TTU (who has the 105th ranked defense) and our low 9 pts this week we're still the 20th ranked scoring offense and they're 28th.

Btw, I was out at Lavaca this past week with a flag draped around me.

Texas butthurt over the CWS when we beat them. Also they all claim they would have 'easily beaten Bama' had Colt McCoy not gotten hurt. I have had this discussion with my Dad and Grandpa multiple times. Both Texas-Exes.

The only way I've found to deal with this so far is to say regardless of you think is the better team, we are the #1 ranked team, and even if you think they're the better team, we're the team that had what it took to get the Win in the game. And, what else matters?

I used to cheer for Texas when they were playing as long as it didn't hurt LSU.

Then I interacted with their fan base in Omaha. Never met a group of fans who felt so entitled to everything and just thought they were God's gift to earth.

Became and OU fan after that. OU fans are annoying, but at least their arrogance level isn't even close to that of UT's.

They're still butthurt over Bama breaking their quarterback like a twig in the BCSNCG.

Looks better for them if they lost to the nation's best instead of number two.

I'm actually surprised that you are still running into UT fans...most put their orange back in the closet after OU made them bite the curb! A few have commneted to me about "Eeking by" Bama...I just tell them that I'd rather "eek" by the #2 team in the country than have ANYONE beat us by over 5 TD's.

Dealing with these idiots is just part of living in the area...there are more UT fans than you can shake a stick at when they're winning, but act like they don't know it's football season after the 3-4th loss....And, you can't talk sense to them, because most don't know jack shite about football.

As soon as I walked into the office Monday morning, a donghorn fan comes up to me and says "man that was an ugly game". How so? You just saw 2 of the best defensive teams in the nation, and possibly CFB history, beat the living piss out of each other. That was an exciting game that came down to the wire.
He follows that with there were too many mistakes. I just reminded him that this is SEC football and a great defense will force the other team to make mistakes, which was proven on both sides of the ball in this game.
These Big 12 fans really don't understand that defense wins championships. They are all also scared of Okie Lite because of the numbers that team has been putting up and believe they would do the same against LSU or Bama. They don't understand the game and only know what they see.
