The type of win over Bama was just what we needed

If we had gone out and been "impressive" to the media (read, idiots), then the hyperbole about our team would have been through the roof. There would have been all the talk about the greatest team of all time, blah blah.

We got the best of both worlds here. We got the win, but now all these morons who get excited about quarterbacks and touchdowns in the same way that a baby gets excited when you jingle keys in their face can all talk about how LSU ain't that great, their QBs are terrible, they have a QB controversy, blah blah.

This will keep the team grounded and focused and will keep the media in check until we go out and blow the doors off one of these teams with nothing but a great QB (and for OSU, a great WR).

'03 Florida did the same, but we lost.

This team must have a perfect combination of confidence and humility after our win @Bama.

I was worried going into the bye week that the team had looked so good in hammering Auburn while Bama seemed to struggle - at least look human - in their eventual throttling of the Vols. Holtz even mentioned it - that Bama's coaches would have an easier job keeping their team grounded / humble than LSU's coaches would.

I just hope we don't think JJ is the answer. Stick with what got us here and throw the ball to Randle please!

Yep. Sometimes it better to win close games, makes people stay grounded on the goals ahead. I truly believe this team can demolish any other team in the country, but it always takes solid effort. That's why I love having Miles as the coach and all the great leaders on the team. BTaylor, Claiborne, and Baker won't let people slack off.

We also got to prolong the agony of the bama fans. During OT they still technically had a chance to win, but the looks on their faces told the real story.

We put them out of their misery with the final kick.

Beating bama in their house with a backup QB is not impressive?

I believe this is the most impressive win in the history of the program. Idiots in the media believe that we lucked into a win because of missed FGs and crappy QBs. They have absolutely no clue.

it's like they were mortally wounded and we walked up, put a gun to their head and POP! it was such a humane gesture. i'm not sure i've ever seen a football victory put this way but i like it.

this team won't lose focus. TM7 doesn't lose focus and football players follow the mindset of their best player.

his leadership/influence is almost as impressive as his stat line.
