Remember this?

We've all said it.

Oregon's saying it now, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc.

I remember in 07 when it was a shot in the dark and it actually happened.

Isn't it nice being #1 and all we have to do is win our OWN games?

Wont happen....Oklahoma would jump Bama if they win out. The computers love the Big-12

I remember following all of the 'what ifs' in 2007, and logging on to TD regularly to see what LSUMatt's latest math wizardry was predicting....

Bama's computer score is going to continue to drop, especially with Ole Miss, Miss St, Arky, Auburn, UF/USCe, and PennSt taking another loss or two. The voters would have to manipulate the polls to make sure a rematch happened.

OkSt is in if they beat OU.
Stanford is in if they win out and OkSt loses.
If both lose, Ou is in benefitting from the OkSt win.
This pretty much seals Bama's Sugar Bowl fate.

I think watching LSUMatt's numbers in 2007 is what got me to actually register here!

Stanford plays an extra game - the Pac Conference Championship Game and that will push them over just like it does with the SEC.

Big 12 doesn't have a championship game this year because of numbers being less than 12.

Chances are high that the computers will love Stanford more for the extra tough team on the schedule - regardless of who wins out in the Big12.

Well, it's somewhat related. It's just more like another opportunity to piss on Oregon and Bama's hopes of making the MNC.

Provided we win out, I don't think there is any way Bama jumps a 1-loss team that wins a conference.

Right now, the 5-4 UCLA Bruins are the leaders for the PAC-12 South. It may HURT Stanford to factor in that game

I will laugh if OSU misses out because they don't have a big 12 champ game and the PAC 12 does!

Bama still has to beat MSU and Auburn. Neither are ranked so wins over them wouldn't be huge boosts. Georgia Southern only adds to their "tough" out of conference schedule.

Lol, yea that 07 season I had researched all the computer algorithms and tried to pin exactly what we needed to be ranked 2.

Thankfully, I have forgotten all that now! That said, we still have 2 huge games!
