Ted Miller's blog. For what it's worth, us Duck fans see Ted Miller as kind of an attention-crazy whore who says outlandish things for the purpose of well...getting attention.

here's his latest.

quote:

Oregon averaged 3.4 yards per rush against LSU. Alabama averaged 3.1 yards per rush against LSU. LSU averaged 3.6 yards per rush against Oregon. Guess what LSU averaged against ALABAMA's MANLY MAN DEFENSE? If you said 3.6 yards per rush, you get to feel awesome about yourself for 10 seconds.

quote:

Who's going to note that Oregon gained 335 yards -- 95 rushing -- against LSU's MANLY MAN DEFENSE that held Alabama -- in overtime! -- to 295 yards (96 rushing)? Who's going to say, hey, did you know that Oregon's dinky little Pac-12 defense held LSU to 273 yards, not much more than ALABAMA's MANLY MAN DEFENSE, which held the Tigers to 239?

quote:

Alabama and LSU were even in turnovers. Wonder how things might have been different if one -- or the other -- team lost the turnover battle 4-1? You know: As Oregon did to LSU. A rematch between Alabama and LSU? Pfft. The real question is what might have happened if Oregon didn't commit four of its 10 turnovers this season in the opener against LSU.

Again, this is coming from the guy who said last week that UW would upset Oregon.

Oregon held LSU to 40 points. What did Alabama hold LSU to?

BSPN pushes agendas.

Ted Miller, the PAC-12 blogger, is clearly trying to push for Oregon to get attention as a legit BCSncg contender if they upset Stanford (and kill Stanford's BCSncg chances).

What's even funnier is that Ted Miller's bowl projections from last night has Stanford in the BCSncg and Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

Are yards all pac12 guys give a shite about?

You can't even compare the 2 games. LSU absolutely DOMINATED the Oregon game. We had decent yardage off of AWESOME field position on almost every possession. The fact that this assclown compares Oregon's D to Bama's gives him 0 credibility in my book. move along..nothing to see here

Personally the only thing I saw of interest in his entire blog was the yardage stats.

Those turnovers resulted in short fields, and so that yardage turned into points.

It is pretty dumb to compare the two games and draw some conclusion about Oregon vs Bama.

Two completely different styles of play.

Turnovers are caused by invisible bolts of lightning hitting unlucky football players.

I think he's saying Oregon would still lose, but the score wouldn't have been such a blow out.

Two totally different games with different game plans, approaches, etc. Anyone drawing those kind of conclusions clearly knows nothing about football.

LSU also gave up quite a few yards against Oregon in garbage "don't let them score too quickly" time.

3 players were suspended vs. Oregon that weren't suspended vs. Bama too.

You had 13 points and <150 yards of offense before LSU went up 3 touchdowns late in the 3rdQ, pretty much ending the game.

Congrats on the meaningless yards and points in the 4thQ after we called off the dogs, though, since it appears you're hanging your chances of a LSU/UO rematch on them.

Bama would destroy Oregon just as bad as we did

The fumble by Barner by TM7 and the interception, yes.

But the two fumbles by DeAnthony Thomas were completely self inflicted, IMO. True freshman was holding the ball way out to his side and fumbled on consecutive plays. He hasn't made that mistake since.

I'm not saying you guys didn't beat us or won't beat us if we play again. I'm saying DeAnthony Thomas wouldn't hold the ball way out to his side and basically gift you the ball back if we played again.
