Does anyone here deer hunt in Morehouse Parish? We got into a deer lease with some good looking deer on it(from trail cam pics), but I've always predominantly hunted ducks and none of the other 3 members hunted this lease last year either. I've seen a rut calendar, but does anyone have any first hand experience about when the rut should be picking up in that area? Thanks

i peed down my leg this morning, so, i think it's already started..
used to get going pretty good in southern,ar. about nov. 15 and rocking, around, or, a little before thanksgiving.. should be similar in paper mill parish..

Our season doesn't even open until the 19th so that's the first I'll be able to be in a stand. I'm gonna have to split time between duck and deer over thanksgiving break I guess.

If you need a wildlife control expert I'm your man. You could check the state website and I think they have a rut map.

Hell, the rut in Central AL doesnt kick off until mid Jan.
