During FG attempts we have Brad Wing holding for the kicks.

If we were to have a bobbled hold, would he be able to pick up the ball and kick it like a punt down the field or would that be illegally advancing the ball?

Apologies if this has been discussed before. Just wondering if we work on that sort of "scramble" drill since he is probably comfortable kicking on the run and in traffic.

If bobbled he could punt it. Hell, you could have Lee or Jefferson pooch it. However, if he bobbled it, I doubt he would have time to get the ball off.

In OT though, if he had bobbled it, he would have just fell on it. That's why Miles elected to kick on 3rd down. If the snap was mishandled, we could have lined up and retried since it would have only been 4th down.

Yeah, I knew he could fall on it.

Was meaning more for long FG attempts and if it was even legal to do so.
