Do what? I can understand Arkansas, but how the hell do 1-4 have harder schedules?

I dont see where you get Bama "getting the nod" out of that.
There is no nod of the head. it would be based on the final BCS standings.

If Bama finished ahead of LSU in the BCS standings, but Ark was 3rd, then LSU would go, and not Bama, because LSU beat Bama head to head.

#'s below are relative BCS standings, within 5 places
Bama would go if Bama 1, Ark 2 because of head to head.

LSU would go if LSU 1 Bama 2
LSU would go if Bama 1 LSU 2.

Ark only goes if LSU 1 Ark 2 and Ark within 5 places.

If Ark 1, Bama 2 and Bama within 5, Bama goes.

Right, Arkansas has worst chance to make SECCG. They need to win out and hope Bama loses one more. Otherwise, it is unlikely that Arkansas will be ranked higher than Bama if both win out...

Oregon and Stanford play each other. Oregon has the hardest because USC is better than any other team's second hardest game. In the same way, Stanford's second hardest game (Notre Dame) is harder than any other team except Stanford's second game.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma play each other. Again, Baylor is best of 'second hardest games' among the non pac-12 schools. It's less similar from here; Iowa State and Texas Tech are collectively more tough than Tennessee and Mississippi State. The Big 12 schools have had surprisingly good years, whereas both SEC schools will have difficulty making a bowl while being victims of multiple slaughters each throughout the year. This explains why Arkansas is in the next tier.

LSU only has Arkansas left, but Arkansas is a top-10 team, so that puts them ahead of Boise and Alabama.

Boise's schedule is harder than Alabama's. From top to bottom: TCU should finish ranked, and rational people (non-homers) should realize that Auburn is not as good as TCU this year. Auburn will probably not finish ranked, especially if they lose this week to UGA as they are expected to. Clear edge to TCU. San Diego State is probably on par with State despite SDSU's better record, but I could see people saying State is better, so I'll give a slight edge to State. Wyoming is clearly better than FCS Southeast. Clear edge Boise.

Boise's schedule is harder than Alabama's down the stretch. It's a competition for last place, yes, but the point still should be made.

I hoping for an LSU/Stanford match-up in the BCS Championship game. The west coast media hype would be huge given Andrew Luck likely winning the Heisman.

wouldn't be the 1st time we beat the Heisman winning QB for the BCS NC in the Dome!

I doubt it. I think Ok State may have a better resume at that point.

I think the championship game + luck gives the edge to stanford.. Either one is fine with me though.

Wouldn't it be great if Bama's defense could suit up for New Mexico and kick some Boise arse on Dec. 3? It would give them something to do....

Uh, our second hardest team IS Oregon, unless you are trying to tell us that USC > Bama.

If Stanford and OSU lose I really hope the voters do whatever they need to do to make Boise St. the BCS #2. Frankly, it would be unfair not to. Plus, LSU would have already beaten the other top BCS teams which would likely be Oregon and Bama. Plus, people would finally STFU about Boise St. Although I do think it would be a tough game.

I laughed when I noticed that almost every team plays some type of rivalry game for the last game of the season..,,,well except Boise St., they play perhaps "the worst team in college football" the 0-9 New Mexico Lobos.

if lsu loses to ark in close game, the human polls will not drop lsu lower than bama .

1 osu
2 lsu

maybe i am the only one thinking this but

If Arkansas beats LSU then we have LSU, Arky and Bama with 1 loss

I think the rankings should then be
Arky
LSU
Bama

If that happens then Arky goes to SECCG and if everyone else has 1 loss Arky goes to BCSCG with a win in Atlanta

This is my biggest fear

Our guys need to keep thier heads on straight

To be completely honest, I don't think LSU will have a problem in the next 3 weeks. If BY CHANCE Arkansas pulls out a squeaker or catches us napping, I still think we play in the SEC Championship and end up being right where we were in '07.

Honestly I don't think Arkansas would even jump us if they pulled one out, which they won't. They are a glorified Penn State, same records, same loss, they barely beat Ole Piss and Vandy, and got their balls handed to them against Bama. In my mind a close win against LSU doesn't put them ahead of LSU.

All of this is meaningless with a few more LSU W's but J freakin S
