SEC Scheduling Issues

It dawned on me that with 14 teams, the SEC is probably going to have to go to 9 games (and I don't mean a championship game). With 7 teams in each division and our permanent rivalry game, each team has 7 games set in stone each year, leaving only a single other SEC game to be played with an 8 team conference schedule.
Thus we are left with roughly three options:
1. Stay with what I have pointed out above, leaving teams to relish the years their other game non-division game is ole miss/vandy. Not to mention lowering every team's coverage in other parts of the conference.
2. Drop the permanent rivalry game, allowing each team to get a bigger regional coverage by playing two cross divisional teams.
3. Drop an in division game for an out-of game, leading to mass hysteria when two teams like both LSU and Bama go undefeated in division and there is no semifinal
3.a. #3 but with a semifinal game, leading to lower exam scores because the championship game will likely be played during finals week. Also, say goodbye to the Thanksgiving rivalry game.
4. Go to nine conference games, either starting football a week before everyone else, dropping a non-conference game, or getting rid of the bye week.
#4 seems the obvious along with dropping a useless non-conference game, but it just decreases the SEC's chances of 7-peating the NC game (barring a tournament, in which case you can kiss the meaning of your rivalry games goodbye)
