And runs the table, why wouldn't they be considered for the NC game if LSU/Bama winner is the only undefeated left? There only loss would be early to the #1.

We should be considered. I think the Pac 12 Championship game will push us over Oklahoma (considering they aren't playing a Big XII Championship game).

To have any chance they'd need LSU to beat the brakes off of Bama tomorrow and OU and OSU to both lose

Their computer score is likely to suck considering their OOC other than LSU was terrible and the Pac-12 is really really bad outside of the top 2 teams

No way in hell. OU will be the highest ranked 1 loss team in the computers. UofO will likely be the lowest along with Stanford in this scenario

Oregon finishes with a really strong schedule...they could sneak up in the computers. USC, Stanford, Arizona State. That's gonna be tough to deny if LSU beats Bama's arse. I guess we'll find out if the "lose early" thing is really true, or an excuse for certain teams to get votes.

What if we mop the floor with Stanford and Southern Cal? You don't think we jump a few spots in the polls?

Having a CCG helps. Definitely will help in the final pools and give a bump IMO.

You guys are in a tough position.

1) If LSU wins, people won't want to see a rematch
2) If Bama wins, it's hard to see voters putting you above an LSU team that beta you earlier in the season (given you both have 1-loss).
The computer rankings will be against you as well
If OSU and OU keep winning the game at the end of the year will have a CCG feel to it (and notice this game in on CCG saturday), so the no CCG game won't be a big factor.

I actually think Boise gets in ahead of Oregon.....and I hope Boise loses every game they play....

I hold nothing against Oregon - just don't see them making the Title Game.

No way. We should jump Boise State if we beat Stanford. It would be a crying shame if we didn't.

It would suck if Oregon somehow backs into the title game. I can't see a reasonable scenario where it could happen, but if it did, UO would be the worst title game participant in the BCS era. This team is nowhere near as good as their team last year. I'd rather watch Boise

As long as Oklahoma doesn't get in I'll be fine. It would be unfair to send OU after losing to tech, but deny UO after losing to the consensus #1 the first week of the season. And I don't want to hear how Oklahoma has a tougher schedule...that's bogus.

I would rather see Boise or a 1-loss sec team in the NC as well...

I didn't mean their schedule isn't tougher, I meant it's bogus to use that to justify losing to TEXAS TECH at HOME....Oregon lost to LSU Neutral (basically a road game being in Dallas.)

If Oklahoma's one loss was to Ok. State, the schedule would matter. A tough schedule is not an excuse to lose to mediocre competition.

No doubt their loss is a better loss. But as I explained in my earlier post it will be hard for Oregon to make it, especially if the other team in is Bama/LSU (which is pretty much a lock).

I think this is the year Boise makes it.
