Something just doesnt sit right with our number 1 commit next year going to Norman the day of the biggest game in the past 10 years.

I dont get why a guy would want to play in that crap conference next year.

LSU commit turns eye to Sooners

1:26PM ET

Oklahoma Sooners | Interested: Tigers?

Bob Przybylo of SoonerNation on ESPN.com writes that wide receiver Avery Johnson (Pompano Beach, Fla./Ely), a four-star prospect who has been committed to LSU for more than a year, is now showing interest in the Oklahoma Sooners.

"You look at that offense, and the way they pass the ball," Johnson says. "It definitely has me interested."

On Wednesday, Johnson will make an official visit to Norman, the first time he's ever seen the campus.

"Obviously, I want to look at the facilities and surroundings and things like that," said Johnson, ranked No. 12 at receiver and No. 82 in the ESPNU 150. "The classrooms and campus will be important, too. It should be an exciting weekend."

They have to sell subscriptions somehow.

If LSU wins, he's a lock. If we lose, he's a lean.

I just hope we win tomorrow since that's the basis of LC decision.

He's not even the best WR in this class. Let him look.

How many WRs would OU sign this season. I know they throw it a lot but from what I have seen over the past 5-6 years mainly one to 2 wr get the lion shares of looks.

Aren't these two statements contradictory, in terms of the timing of the visit? What am I missing here?

H-Town Tiger, it's not like Oklahoma is going to kick aTm's arse tomorrow! As a Texas A&M fan, why worry about a LSU and OU recruiting battle?

I honestly don't know, is Buster Davis out of the NFL?

And just for good measure (even though he is currently a free agent):

Craig "Buster" Davis (1st)

He wasn't on the list ESPN has, but upon review yea he's out of the NFL.

Also, any other WRs from OU that were drafted recently but not in the NFL currently also aren't listed.

Still the overall point is, if he wants to have fun in a pass first offense, then that's his prerogative . But if he's chooses OU bc he thinks that will help him get drafted higher, then he's misguided. LSU is fully capable of churning out NFL ready WRs.

Somebody needs to tell him Landry Jones is leaving.

Does it matter? This is their offense regardless of Jones leaving. Bradford was the QB before. and Jason White a few years before that.

When they can, they like to run the spread.
