I would like to get a crossbow but not looking to drop major cash. I have never owned one before. Any recommendations?

I would like to bow hunt from my box stand so it seems a crossbow is in order.

I've killed three deer this year, my first using a crossbow. I highly recommend Ten Point Titan HLX w accudraw cocking mechanism. Cost about $700 for whole set up.Extremly accurate up to 40 yards with longer shots possible.

What's the lethal range on a crossbow? I'm assuming it's a good bit longer than a compound bow correct?

I was wondering how long it would take you to find this thread

Last time I made a bowhunt my dad came to the camp. I made a comment about if I was shooting a rifle or even a crossbow that deer I saw would've been dead. He said the only way he would hunt during bow season is with a crossbow because "that's too much work"

haha thanks guys. Didn't know there was this much crossbow hate on the OB. I am all for making things easier not harder. Plus i don't have to set up another stand as I would if I hunted with my compound bow. At least I have drawn blood with my compound bow does that count for anything??
