After hearing his reasoning i can see it and it hold credence.

The fact that we are on the road but he compared the way our defense is built and compared to Bamas offensive style. They feel as though our defense is built to stop the spread.

He also feels as though we won't be able to run effectively against Bamas massive D Line and Linebackers.

what about our O vs their D? We are much faster there as well so it's a wash...

Won't be able to run against them? Think our O line and FBs have something to say about that.

He is a Bama graduate and sadly was predicting when first BCS pollcomes out Bama will be ranked #1.

Tell your head the game won't be that high scoring. The two best offenses in the country didn't score 28 on us. Bama won't either.

I agree that we're built to stop the spread, but you can't discount the raw talent LSU has on the defensive side of the ball. If we can find away to keep T-Rich somewhat in check, we'll be fine.

I think LSU's O-line vs Bama's D-line & backers will be a wash, so it's hard to say whether we'll get the run game going.

Didn't this almost same defense hold TR under 100 yds rushing last year?

The Tigers are gonna be very prepared and ready to play. THe Honey Badger is probably bout to have a fit to get on the field.

Brad Edwards, in his ESPN power ranking poll, placed LSU at 1 and Bama at 2 after week 8...then switched them after the bye week to Bama 1 and LSU 2.

I suspect he spends most of his time crunching numbers for mock BCS formulas, without ever actually watching the games

Said GEAUX TIGERS to an older gentleman today at Lowes -- we both had LSU shirts on. He smiled and then did a double take and started talking to me about the game. Said his dtr was nervous b/c no one was picking LSU. He and I at the same time said "that's how we like it!"
