Ken Burns - "The West" Now on Netflix Instant. Reviews?

This is one of the only Burns documentaries I haven't seen yet. Been wanting to see it and just noticed that it's finally available on instant. It's a fascinating subject matter for an amateur history buff like me. What are this board's opinions on this one?

I started watching it a few months back but found it to be too political and heavy handed so I didn't even bother to finish it.

It started off bashing president Bush which I'm not sure what that has to do with the west then went on trying to indite John Wayne and Westerns of the 50s. Very heavy handed and obvious they guy had some sort of ideological agenda he was trying to push.
I watched about 15 minutes before turning it off telling myself I know more about Westerns than this dumbass.

It was recent I don't know maybe we aren't.
Ok I just looked on netflix instant not the same one cause that one is dated 96' and the one I saw was recent and about western movies.
