Cupcakes in Baton Rouge - where to buy?

My wife is buying into the cupcake craze, and wants them for her birthday instead of cake. Where's the best place in BR for them? Baum's, Ambrosia, Cupcakes & Cream?
I don't bake, so I'm not going to make them myself.

Get Grrrl to make them. I bought some from her and they were great. She showed me a pic of a birthday party she did for her boss' child. Very impressive.

She will do it for a price. In all seriousness they were the best cupcakes i've ever eaten.
Irish Car Bomb cupcakes. Guinness in the batter, Jameson in the ganache filling and Bailey's in the frosting. Brought them to Finn's for an early morning brekfast for all of my Liverpool friends.

I would go to sweet wishes instead of cupcake couture. Cupcake couture's actual cake tends to be dry, especially if you're going later in the day. Just my opinion.Sweet wishes isnt far from the mall anyway.

very true....their cupcakes aren't good at all.
schwartzy baby, as somewhat of a professional cupcakist, i'll let you in on a little secret. make your own. that's right, all you need to know is 6 words, and they're "duncan hines white cake mix".
read the directions on the box, buy a cupcake pan, eggs & shite and some of those little paper gaskets that miraculously don't catch on fire in a hot oven. it's easy.
now for the piece duh resistance, buy several containers of duncan hines icing. my top 3 are lemon, strawberry, cream cheese & chocolate..that way you can have a delicious variety of cupcakes.
your hot little nympho wife will love the cupcakes, because 2 they're delicious, and 1 they're homemade bayou. (bayou, get it) lol

Is that the place on Perkins? I think I've been there before

This is extremely false
I buy cupcakes from them all the time for events and bday's. Cupcake Coutore all the way.
Powerman - it's located in the outside portion of the Mall of LA next to Tiger District and across from Borders (RIP)

I've never had that problem with them. If you'd have said the frosting was too rich then yeah, but too dry?
Of course, I can't say if all flavors are equal

I agree Sweet Wishes is better than Cupcake Couture. But, I loved Sweet Wishes icing better when they first started business. It had a great cream cheese flavor and now not so much.

In all seriousness... Have you tried the other options before declaring them the best?
