It has become more apparent to me the way Miles has decided to mold the football program. I think initially he had a stockpile of talent which he used successfully as he was learning the SEC and LSU.

I honestly think that once Saban returned to the league and turned bama back into a power that Les altered his vision.

If you really analyze the situation Les has basically built a team to beat Saban and Bama. He knows, just like we know, that Bama will (most years) be our most difficult opponent as long as Saban is there.

He knows that if we build a team that can match up and beat Bama we will match up and beat all the other teams in the conference. I think a major key for him has been to get two long term assistants who share his vision. Now with the record he has put up and the talent he has stockpiled he has LSU set to be a dominant force for some time.

We will have years where we are better or worse, but I think that for the forseeable future he will have us competing for Atlanta every yr.

This is a huge game for Les. Bring this post back next week. If Les misses out on a 4th straight West Title and Bama wins 3 of 4 then you might want to rethink it all. We shall see. Hopefully you are right.

I think Miles just wants to created a SEC/Big 10 hybrid team and he succeeded.
