I think we all knew Freak and Landry would come in and play. ODB was a nice surprise that no one really saw coming this quickly, since we first found out how good he was during camp.

Who will be the next group to play immediately and make significant contributions from c/o 2012?

Landon Collins!

But seriously, I have no idea. Maybe Borque at RB or WR. LSU is pretty deep at every position. Possibly Dural or Avery if RR goes pro.

Probably this, and maybe Louis(Baker role). I think we are solid with the rest, unless there is some awesome returner that emerges.

Really hard to guess what guys step up when they get in camp.

TM7 in addition to guys already mentioned (do not think people expected his impact his freshman season).

More than likely it will be someone who is in for spring, though not always the case.

Anyone know the list of early entry guys.

la'el collins. He's hungry. Will beat out someone on oline to play either guard or tackle next year.

Looks like he will be a starting OG next year.

I think Collins would be it. Maybe Edwards if they move a DE inside to play DT.

I'd say Avery could return kicks, but Miles seems to like upperclassmen in that role. PP7 didn't return kicks until he was a Jr. Mo is a Jr., TM7 is a soph. and Chad Jones was a Jr.

I just don't see where we would play anyone else immediately.

Landon Collins (if we land him)
AJ (if he keeps his commitment)
Davis at LB (if he keeps his commitment)
Feist
Louis
Alexander (I think he's good enough to work into the two deep next year at G).
Thomas (outside possibility, if we lose Claiborne and depending how Jenkins and Jalen Collins are developing).

We dont even know who will sign. Some of the OOS 5 star guys who still have LSU on their lists could make a big splash if they go to LSU. And there is always some 3 star guy who turns out to be the real deal. Williford did not even bend at the waist when he showed up. Now he is a solid contributor.

I think La'el Collins should practice at center. I realize he is a 5 star all state OT. but... I read he is uptight about playing time.
If he wants to play so bad, he should learn center. OT's do not always start the minute they make the team. The same thing might happen when he gets to the NFL as OT.
If he can learn the center position, he could play center in the NFL for 10 years.

Speed in the SEC isn't that rare. I don't know if Holmes can take a hit.
