Lots of big games this week and district title implications. I have confirmed ALL co champions get into the playoffs.

That being said, Central is going to have to win out and they have Scotlandville this week

Other big games to watch:

Karr vs #35
Assumption vs Lutcher
Loranger vs Amite
Jesuit vs Rummel

I always live up to the bet. Even gave you a shout out on the broadcast. Here's my write up from the website I posted on the Central/Scotlandville game:

Central at Scotlandville

Big time game, big time atmosphere, but the Cardiac Kids from Central have been in this spot before. They are literally 45 seconds away from being 3-0 in district, but Zachary scores in week 1 at the end to put them at 2-1. A goal line stand last week against Denham and Doug Dotson has done the impossible and has Central prepped for a 4th straight district championship (some were co champions but they still finished at the top). They defy the numbers and things are rolling in C-Town and Scotlandville is up next. Ken Hilton has done remarkable and the S’ville has looked impressive the entire year. Scotlandville ranks 3rd in district in offense but that number is a little skewed because they have had several defensive TD’s and plays on short fields. They don’t travel far to get in the end zone. They are the number 2 ranked passing attack and Central is the worst in the league when it comes to passing defense. Central is the second worst offensive team in the league. But who needs offense when you got great defense? There is a trend, however, and Central is falling defensively. They are now tied for 3rd defensively in the league (3.25) while Scotlandville is tops at 5.375. Scotlandville is 1-1 at home while Central is 2-1 away. Central has to finish the league on the road. That’s tough to ask. The winner of this game is almost assured a co-championship. What do the numbers say?

Prediction: Scotlandvile (-10.5)

How's this team looking this year? Overrated like recent years...or are they actually going to contend for the state championship?

well i usually start it on thursday mornings as that's when the games start that night...

i guess we're the thread for those wise enough to know that each individual high school in the state doesn't deserve a thread on the MSB every game

This is one of those years where SEVERAL teams can win it. Usually, its predictable. I havent seen them play but if they are like the past in the playoffs, your looking at a QF or SF loss.

I hate this. Theres always like 5 jackasses that think everyone is at the same game so it needs its own thread that gets 3 responses and clutters up the board

West Jefferson at Chalmette Friday night

West Jeff has killed us two years in a row, but their weak non-district schedule leaves them needing one of the last two to assure themselves into the state playoffs, and they have Jesuit week 10.

meanwhile we're on the bubble, and need one of the last two, but we have Miller McCoy in week 10 for homecoming
