Thinking about heading here Saturday for a day trip. Anyone ever been there on a day trip for a hike or to rent a kayak or canoe? Is it worth spending the day there or should we consider someplace else ( did Clark Creek a couple weeks ago)? We would really like to rent a kayak or a canoe, anyone have good reviews on that? Thanks guys.

Definitely worth a trip there. With all the trails you could easily spend the day hiking. I am not sure how long the canoe trip would take but it takes about 2 to 2-1/2 hours to float their section of river on a tube without much stopping. You could stretch that out as long as you wanted if you stopped on a few sand bars. That park is huge.

I go there all the time for walkin the trails and fishin. Fishin not so good, but worth walkin around the woods this time of year.
