Just curious. I see a lot of team's players wearing them. Lavar had one on a couple games ago. Is it a coaches rule?

Must have written proof that it is needed for play (eye doctors prescription), most schools just get their dr. to write one for each player. LSU doesn't.

I think that's just an NFL rule for dark tinted visors.

No, NFL can wear whatever. College has to wear clear unless they have a prescription to wear dark.

Didn't Chevis Jackson or Zenon have to get the waiver to wear the dark a few back because of an injury? I thought that was brought up.

I'm positive it's the other way around. The NFL doesn't exactly have a "whatever you feel like" policy on their uniforms.

Im almost positive I remember hearing in the NFL you had to have a medical reason to wear them. I feel like it was talked about for a while with the saints because Bobby McCray had a blacked out visor.

Tactical advantage. Easier to draw a facemask penalty.

It was either Chevis Jackson or Claiborne that got poked in the eye and they came out with a dark tinted visor and had to go backout and change it to a clear one I believe.

Pretty sure the NFL players wear whatever they want. Landanian Tomlinson has always wore a dark one so te defense cannot read his eyes. There is nothing wrong with his eyes.

Wish LSU wore them though.

chevis wore a tinted one for a few games after his eye surgery, and yes it was brought up. he had to switch to a clear visor. he was using the tinted one even at night due to the light sensitivity
