win at LSU, just in the 8th game of his 7th year. That is damn impressive.

That's too much math for me.

We should FIRE him! Anyone can win 70 games at LSU.

What...what do you mean only two other coaches have?

Huh..., you mean it took Charlie Mac, LSU's all-time winningest coach a full nine seasons to get to the same spot Les is at barely 6.5 years in?

I don't care, he still talks funny and I don't like him.

As of now, he is 69-15 at LSU. 70th win will give him a little better than 82% wins.

7 is a good number. Represents completion, fullness and perfection.
BTW, I looked that up and checked what the number 71 means (for a win this weekend and then against the gumps).
It is even stronger in fullness and the dove (Biblical) as well as representing the Holy Spirit.
Do with that as you may.

I think it's more significant that last week's win against Tennessee gave Coach Miles win #69.

69 of them have come with a two quarterback system in place.

Miles deserves the praise for maintaining the program at an elite level but Charlie Mac was no slouch either.

It was rarely more than 12 games and more often just 11 (including the bowls) then - LSU has played 13 games thrice and 14 games once in the 6 years under Les.

Aside from the fact there was a shorter schedule back then, it should be noted that Maclendon just flat out lost games he shouldn't have almost every year, even more so than Miles. I'd take Miles over Mac both on and off the field

The comparison was not to elevate Cholly Mac or to put down Les - merely to point out it is not necessary to do an apples and oranges with past coaches with lesser number of games.

What Les has achieved now is excellent in comparison with other current programs/coaches at an elite level.

The number I'm interested in is 0 as in the number of losses per season...it's time for a championship season where as a Les Miles team controls it's own destiny!

Nice seasons be damned!

Look at their winning percentages at this point in their career. Les is way ahead.
