If he gets fired from Memphis for winning few games, could he come back and be a co-recruiting coordinator? Also on the rant, there was speculation that Wilson takes a OC or head coaching job, so could Porter take his job back?

Porter would not bump Wilson. If Wilson is gone, maybe... I doubt Wilson is leaving yet though

I am sure CLM would try to get him back if he can.

Porter is partly responsible for our Lyles connection...

But he had some nice connections in Texas. I doubt he comes back. What are they going to do, fire Gonzo and move Wilson to WR coach? I seriously doubt that.

I hate the thought of someone in the SEC picking him up because I don't think he'll have a hard time getting a high-profile job. Which makes me nervous about his connections here. I could see someone like Bama or AU wanting to get more in LA/Texas snatching him up.

Could we hire him as co recruiting coordinator only or would he have to coach a position?

We could hire him just for recruiting purposes. Look if the pay is right, we could find a spot for any coach/recruiter.

You're limited on assistant hires, so he'd have to coach something. Not sure he is qualified for anything outside RBs. Now if TE job opened up...wouldn't be opposed to him taking that job, even if he has no experience there.

I doubt he gets a offer that low though. TE is probably considered one of the lower job offers and he will likely get a offer as RB/recruiting coordinator/assistant coach somewhere. That was what he was here. He is too good of a recruiter to not get a big payday somewhere at a major program.

Could we hire him as co recruiting cordinator and co running back coach? And just say that he coaches the running backs and really only just recruits

I don't know Texas A&M's position but imagine him there with them trying to get into La recruiting already. Again have no idea about there circumstances just thinking of schools I wouldn't want to see him at.

No chance. He left his baggage behind when he left.

Hopefully not. I know our running backs didn't fumble, but I hated his running back rotation. It made no sense. Someone would get hot, Charles Scott UK 2007, but he would then be pulled only to be put back in for the most crucial play of the game. He did have an eye for talent.

If anyone were going to come back, I would want Mccarthy, even though I don't want him back. He had an outstanding eye for receiver talent.

I hope not. He's the reason LSU is on probation.

I thought that was because of DJ McCarthy.

it was Mcarthy, but he did have an excellent eye for talent.I would say he was a hell of a recruiter as well but who knows since he got caught giving benefits to kids. I know our Texas recruiting hasn't been the same without Henson and Mcarthy

And who do you propose we fire and which position do we leave uncoached so that we can have two running backs coaches?

Didn't McKnight text Wilson during his official to LSU and call Porter "fake"
