This is actually more difficult than you probably anticipate. The photo editting isn't difficult and many of the talented could do it given the right material.

However, the high resolution source you are going to need is pretty incredible. You would need someone stationed perfectly with a high resolution digital camera with a fast shutter speed. Then they would have to take pictures in quick progression.

These images work well because the cameraman knows exactly where the action is going to take place- the field positions and the batters box. A football game isn't the same.

Now, it would be possible to isolate individual discreet frames of a high resolution video for this process too. But you would need high resolution video. I don't have the software capabilities but Photoshop probably does.

Remember, to get an image print quality for that size, you are really going to need 5100x3300 digital resolution.
