This could be really good or really bad depending on how the story is done. As long as Whedon keeps to what made the individual films successful it should be good.
It looks like there is going to be some conflict between the characters (Capt and Thor) which is good.

Yeah, I'm thinking that they're going to go with "Cap is a bit of a dick" in this one.
Which makes some sense, as the movie, more or less, begins where his movie left off. Waking up to a new world, missing the old one. That would piss anyone off.

I know it's just the trailer but I want the odds and scale to be massive, it appears as though it's another "city in peril" situation. To assemble a team like this I want to see the world in absolute jeopardy.

Wanted to be paid like Robert Downey Jr. and his character just isn't the money maker Iron Man is/was. So he left. You think they'd have negotiated a two or three picture deal before they cast him but who knows if they planned the Avengers at that point.
ETA: NVM. The cut scene at the end said they did plan on it.

Iron Man in flight just never gets old. It's by far the one comic book image that translates best to today's movie making.
