I knew he had some OC experience. And with the talent at LSU he would be solid. However, I cannot criticize a single call this year. Lee to Randall to open- brilliant. JJ jump pass- set up ridiculously well. Pounded UO with the run, WV 3rd down passes. Rare are the 3 and outs. In all honesty, trying not to be a homer, I would give him an A.

B+ no complaints, he is coaching the hell out of the O-Line

Great packages for JJ that fit him

Letting JL manage the game properly

Only reason I give him a B+ and not an A is because we have to put our foot on the gas and continue to run our game plan even when we have a comfortable lead

Can't say, because I don't know how much of it is actually Kragthorpe

With all this talent, it is nice to have someone that doesn't outsmart himself.

This is such a true statement. No need for gimmicks like the last few years.

That is my point. To get ready on a few weeks notice- he has been a stud. As well as working (obviously) well with coach Kreg. I did not mention how the Oline is dominating! With all the subs playing like starters. It is a rare play when you notice a drop in line play.

I haven't got the first clue who is most influential in their game-planning meetings. I assume it is Kragthorpe. I also think Kragthorpe has a great deal of influence during the game.

As a OC, I cannot give a grade.

+++++++++++++++++++

As an O-line coach, I think Stud has shown he is back ontrack. I think this unit could be as good as the 2007 team. I don't think it can be as good as the 2008 team, but that was the best O-line unit in recent memory.

O-line coach: B+

The offense has improved from the last 2 years, so I have to give him at least a B. I just wish they were more consistant calling passing plays. I realize you have to go with what works, and your gameplan, but to be honest, with exception for a few exciting plays, most of the games have been boring to watch. But they are winning, that's all that matters. This is obviously their offensive identity this year.

B

Lets see what happens when LSU has to fight in a game to win. It's ultra conservative and it works. Right now.

I think it's krags influence. Stud gets the credit but he has been here and we stunk it up.

A plus krags

Considering how he got the job and the situation. Plus he is still deeply involved with the OL, I give him a A+.

All I know is Les Miles gets an A for ridding us of Gary. Stud and Krag are on top of the world right now. It feels good to be able to watch the offense without fear of how we will mess a drive up like years previous.

he wasn't calling the plays before, you can actually see a nice flow with the play calling. I swear that crowton was calling plays grab bag style.

Coach Miles addressed that last night on Inside LSU Football. His mentality is when you get up on a team by 2 TD's then is it a clock control issue- limit the number of possessions of the other team. (I did laugh when he mentioned clock control). That is still good game planning.

I will say whoever is calling the plays gets at least an A-. He's letting J Lee manage the game and not putting too much pressure on him...letting him gain confidence...which he is...

We also arent having turnovers...that is HUUUUUGGGGEEEE!!!

The play calling also has some rhyme or reason to it..whereas with Crowton..I couldnt figure out what the frick he was doing. It was a hodgepodge of whatever..."hey big time recruits...go do something"...seemed to be his mantra.

ppg since 2007:

2007: 38.64 (12th)
2008: 30.92 (30th)
2009: 24.85 (76th)
2010: 29.69 (46th)
2011: 38.50 (20th)

We have our best offense since 2007. It's a testament to the jobs Kragthorpe, Stud, Lee, the OL, and RB have done this season to turn it around
