In Australian rules football it's actually illegal to throw the football, so I'm guessing no.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal period. They have to bump/punch it with the hand that's not holding it. Not like rugby......

ETA - or preferably kick it. That's why the dude is such a stud at placing it where he wants it - the kick is their forward pass.

Kind of, except they're running full speed when they do it, with big toothless guys chasing them.... I've spent the last six months in Thailand, and they show it on TV all the time here. Those guys are impressive athletes for sure. I knew when he started running he'd make the end zone. Don't be surprised if he does it again later in the season.
