No way that Wing should have been flagged, it's the punter, they should have let him enjoy the score!

a rule is a rule. but, i think the punter should get a free pass too.

He didn't know any better. He's going to be classic on NFL Sundays down the road though!

Since it didn't matter ultimately, I kind of like it.

How bad did you beat Florida? So bad our punter got flagged for taunting.

So based on your position you should be allowed to get away with penalties?

So next time a player is running a kickoff back should the kicker be allowed to grab the facemask and bring the guy down because "Come on man...he's the kicker, he needs all the help he can get to tackle a guy!"?

He was just saying, "this is so easy even a punter can do it."

Think about this, LSU's punter had more yards than Florida star RB. That is pathetic.

Not only that, but an Aussie

You don't want him going Crocodile Dundee on your arse.

Yes, he could have pulled out a large knife and started hacking at some of the players..

THAT would have excessively celebrating and would have warranted a TD erasing penalty..LOL

Clearly not the same scenerio, I've seen much more flagrant "taunting" done by defensive linemen that doesn't even get a second look.
It's all good, would have been great to have the punter score against Florida, but the jump pass later in the game was just as sweet.

“We had two guys assigned to the punter who didn’t do their jobs,” Muschamp said. We’ll move on from that. That’s coaching. We had two guys who were assigned to do their job who didn’t do it. They did what they wanted to do, and those guys aren’t going to play in our program any more.

Muschamp on the fake punt

He is definitely mad.

Damn it feels good to take Florida to the woodshed.

They robbed him of a TD, something he will never have the chance to do again. The refs should be fined.

like one poster said in another thread, "the penalty will make him more famous than the td ever would have".

I'm surprised teams don't do this more. Observe what is in front of you when you are punting. That was absolutely insane how no one was anywhere near the line of scrimmage. He was 30 yards down the field before florida even came close to him.
