...and I see a lot of folks posting that we will score 40 on 'em. Assuming we get at least one non-offensive TD, I still don't see us putting up 40.

The Florida Gator defense will be the toughest defense we've seen so far this year. I expect to see LSU get good field position throughout the game, have some success moving the ball initially, but have difficulty scoring in the red zone.

LSU 26
UF 17

you must be trippin remember we play bama this year and they are the second best defense in the land first is of course LSU.... Fla D really has not lived up to the hype they have gotten 40 is a big number i dunno if we will get 40 but def possible id say 35-10 LSU

My bad...meant to say Florida's defense is the toughest we'll play so far this year.

Of course Bama's defense will be the best on the schedule.

They easily have the third best defense in the SEC. We won't get close to 40 but I hope we do.

We may not get close to 40, but I don't think they get more than 13 or 14 unless through defenseive or special teams TDs.

A porous Florida run defense plays right into our favor.

Its odd how identical LSU and Bama are this season because I feel what Bama did last week is what LSU will do.

Also, this is a team just coming off of playing Bama so they will be worn down AND a true freshman will start his first game at QB in the most frightening place to play in the nation

34-10 LSU and the score still doesn't even dictate the domination that both of LSU's lines will have.

Alabama was getting a lot of pressure last week on the road, I wouldn't be surprised to see 5-6 sacks from LSU. Knowing Chavis, he is going to want to scare the shite out of this kid

Translation: You must have forgotten that we play Alabama this year. Alabama has the second best defense, second only to LSU. Florida's defense has really not lived up to the pre-season expectations they have received by pre-season prognosticators. Forty points is a big number, I'm not sure if we will reach that, but with the help of our defense, it's certainly possible. My prediction: LSU, 35-10.

Gumps are a better screen team, imo.

That's true, but we create more turnovers.

This how 40 happens:

1. Rainey/Demps get stuffed

2. 3rd & long, LSU's D tees off on Brissett or Driskel. Ball goes incomplete or gets sacked.

3. Florida punts.

4. LSU gets the ball at our 40.

5. LSU mixes in the run & the pass---scores (either a FG or TD)

Rinse & repeat until LSU is up by 28 pts in the middle of the 3rd quarter, then:

6. UF is in pass catch-up mode

7. LSU's tees off, gets fumbles & INT's

8. Florida's D tired from 10 consecutive 3 & outs by their offense

9. LSU runs up the gut for even more scores

10. 40-burger
