Is that really what they excel At? Anything else good. A 3 or 5 meat/cheese plate. Roasted goat or pork shank any good

Definitely want to try this place.

Went to American Sector a couple of days ago and thought it was pretty good. A couple people there told me Domenica was better.

Try every meat. I'd get sick on it.

Ended up getting this:

quote:

stracci – oxtail & fried chicken livers 14/18

Not a liver fan, but they did a great job frying it. The oxtail was delicious, very tender, but wish there was more. I got the small plate.

We went with a big group. They ordered plenty of meat and cheeses to go around. Also ribs, and i tried a couple different pizzas. It was all great. I especially enjoyed the soft cheeses.

I also had a wild mushroom soup which was good until I finished the mushrooms. The base (or whatever you call it) was too salty to eat alone and I left about half the bowl.

We were in the back room which was decorated nicely and had a small (thin) cellar against the back wall that was more for show than practical, but still a nice touch. We had to go through the kitchen to get to the room, which I always enjoy. I'm a sucker for that kinda thing and it always adds a nice touch to the evening.

Thanks for all the advice. It helped a few others with their final decision as well.

eta: went to avenue pub after and, like always, had a great time drinking rare and odd beers.

i'm late, but had the tagliatelle w/rabbit a couple of years ago...it was very good...we ate there a few times not long after they opened, and it was already very good.

Isn't Domenica supposed to be really good? Doesn't seem like you'd need much help ordering there.
