+1 from what I have seen so far. He has been far more explosive in 5 games than Shep has been his whole career.

Hint: When you start a thread, make sure the player's name is spelled correctly in the title.

It's Shepard.

Shepard made some great plays the past 2 seasons. He just came back. He will be a welcome addition for the rest of the season. I agree that Beckham is playing better, but I would use Shepard in crossing patterns about 10 yards down field or end arounds. He can still contribute.

Shepard is better in the open field. He got a handoff and ripped off 12 yards like it was nothing. They need to find other ways to get him the ball.

Shep is still shaking off the rust. He will get back into the flow.

Yeah the crossing patterns are what suit him best. IMO.

Frosh has dropped just as many passes. Go back to the tapes

Shep has looked better than I thought he would.

i agree, but man...do you think we can continue to absorb the dropped passes. especially now that we are entering conference play?

To be fair to RS, while he did drop some catchable balls (weren't thrown great) he made 2 great catches as well.

I think OBJ just simply has better hands and a better WR understanding.

Both will be weapons throughout the season.

I agree with these. Given his time off, I think he has been solid this year. Remember, Beckham wasn't exactly Jerry Rice in his first couple of games this year.

It doesn't really matter, though. This isn't a plain either/or situation. They will both be on the field at times this year and hopefully they will both cause problems for the D.

Really, even after the run where Beckham embarrassed 8 of 11 Kentucky defenders? I think Beckham is the best open field runner on this team without peer.

I'll say Shep has made two catches so far that there's no way he was catching last year or the year before. That diving catch against WVU and the leaping catch by the sidelines last week. That at least shows progress and promise to me. Let him get back in rhythm after his time off and see what he can do.

If you get two hands on a ball, you should catch it - BOTH should have been caught.
