Song over pa system - Sugar Hill Gang - Apache(Jump On It)

What was the song that had the music from the Sugar Hill Gang - Apache(Jump On it)and had "LSU What's Up" in it? It was played one time I think over the pa in the second quarter. Sorry if this has already been asked.

Pretty sure it wasn't SHG that originally did Apache. I vaguely remember hearing the version with LSU mentioned in the late 90's.

I believe it was Whats Up by Sir Mix Alot. The local lyrics were dubbed by 104.1 or B97 in NOLA.

It was done by the da future, the guys who did the tiger bait song. It was done for lsu and not released anywhere.

SHG released Apache in 1981 as the followup to their hit Rapper's delight.
