Pride Involves More than Winning

I am a die hard LSU Tiger fan - in all sports. I hate to see them play poorly, much less hate to see them lose. I have pride in the LSU Tigers!
But, it hurts my pride more to see some of the "fans" boo at our players, team, and even coaches, than it does to see us lose. I am ashamed of those in our fan base whose immaturity and self-centeredness compel them to loudly boo during a televised game or during a game where recruits might be giving consideration to signing. With LSU this year, that applies to just about every game.
A feeble excuse is, "We weren't booing the player, we were booing the decision to replace QB's at that stage." Yeah, right. I did not like the decision, either, but it did not cause me to boo. In any event, I would believe you more if you had waited until AFTER the play was run to see how it did. Booing BEFORE the play clearly makes it appear that your booing against the player. [For that matter, had the play gone poorly, your boos afer the play would have been against him, too.]
Whiny, cry-baby fans (undoubtedly the same variety who invade the websites of other schools to brag about us and to demean them) don't deserve a team like this year's LSU Tigers.
I don't want LSU to lose, but I will gain some satisfaction from knowing that - if a loss occurs - then these pathetic boo-birds might actually kill themselves from misery because their lives are so invested in seeing LSU win and win big everytime.
The really sad thing is that the kind of "fan" I have identified does not give a crap about what I say or what anyone else says. The "Me-First" generation is here and won't go away. You can identify that kind of fan all over this board.
