6 damn yards difference in yards per game. After 5 games and our toughest Ds coming, versus last years whole season.

Why is anyone knighting for anything.

It seems the best we got is pretty damn mediocre.

We are doing a better job of taking advantage of turnovers we create. And we do still get a short field.

total yards are irrelevant

how do you not understand that?

SCORING offense ranked 19th

^ that is what matters

FWIW, it was 70th last season will JJ at the helm the majority of the time

Yards are skewed due to field position and all the turnovers LSU has caused. The difference is in the points per game.

And really if you cannot see the difference in the offense from last year to this year i don't know what to tell you.

This offense is better than last year's, and by a significant margin.

So is the ppg, if you are going that route.

So you are saying the defense, special teams, and turnovers are largely responsible for our success scoring.

I fricking agree!!

So true- it is previous obvious we are a better offensive team this year...you don't need stats to show that, but once again, we always seem to have so many debbie downers out there...

we were winning last year and all people could do was bitch about how horrible jj was.

now the results are the same, statistically, and everyone is in love with the offense and lee.

Last years D caused their fair share of turnovers to. Without near the amount of points to show for it.

If you were a fair minded person (which you are not) you would also point out the rabid "knighting" and defense for the mediocrity last season and the other guy, the one you like.

Neither of these guys are superstars, and we probably need both. One isn't better than the other.

Of course it is. LSU has an extremely good defense. My point was that we had the same caliber of defense on the field last year to but scored less points. There is a reason for that.

Take a look at our red zone efficiency and get back to me. Offense is light years ahead of where it was at this point last year.

It's a much more conservative offense and difficult to compare last to this.
