Jackson, MS area Tiger fans with Comcast Cable

The CBS channel in Jackson is showing the LSU-Kentucky game tomorrow, but on Comcast they are airing the Air Force-Navy game on that channel. I called Comcast and they said they only had the LSU game on PPV, so if you have Comcast you are probably going to have to watch this game over the air. On WJTV.com they have the game listed to be played on channel 12.1. Just wanted to give a heads up.
Edit- The game is also on ESPN3 so you can watch online.

I have Comcast in Maryland. The only place I've found it playing is espn3.

Thank you for posting this. I'm in the Jackson area as well. Looks like I'm going to have to watch on the laptop once again...

I'll be attending this one, but thanks for posting...I sometimes just get pissed when dealing with this kind of thing...

No Problem guys. I still think there is a chance that the game could be aired, since the channel is WJTV, which is airing the game. Just wanted everybody to be prepared to look for an alternative, because the guide and Comcast themselves said it was the other game.

Does this mean that the cable channel that normally broadcasts WJTV, which carries the SEC network 11:21 games is going to be preempted? Weird.

In the Hattiesburg/Laurel area the website for Fox channel 25.1 shows they will have the game.

I live in Ridgeland too... My Comcast guide is showing Air Force vs. Navy on WJTV.
Only alternative to espn3 is channel 704 which is EPPV3.

Yeah, in Jackson the SEC network game is always on WJTV 12, which is the CBS station. On air it says on their website they are showing the game on their network on channel 12.1, but on Comcast for some reason they are showing the other game. I don't understand why they would show Air Force-Navy instead of LSU-Kentucky, but I called about it and they said in Jackson they only had the LSU game on PPV and ESPN3 on Comcast. I talked to another LSU fan tonight who has Dish Network and he said his guide said they picked up the game on the CBS station. Hopefully DirecTV carries it too. Just trying to give a heads up to the people with Comcast.

I also called comcast, and rasied hell for not showing the game in the heart of SEC country. I did find however that if you press the issue enough about " If I didnt have cable I could watch the game" that they will credit your account for the PPV amout on channel 704. That being said you have to stand your ground and be willing back it up if they call your bluff. You also will not be able to do it just talking to a regualr account exec, you have to call the line that is for cancellation of service. They have a "Last chance save team" that is willing to do what they have to do to keep you as a customer.

ComCast aired the game here. The guide said the Army game, but the LSU game was on.
