Who thinks JJ getting 3-4 series per game will help the offense?

Miles said in his presser tonight that he could see us using JJ in the same way Lee was used last year. That translates to every third series or so that would go to JJ just like with Lee last year. With the way the offense has been running smoothly this year and given JJ's horrific play last year, how can this possibly help the team?

Sure JJ may help the team in certain situations (short yardage etc) but I see the offense stalling if JJ gets multiple series and I see this messing with Lee getting into a rhythm.

Maybe I'm an outlier here but I don't think he'll see that much of the field.

He'll work him in for a series or two to run some special packages and give the D a different thing to look at. He may not do it well, but that's a different argument.

11 wins

Look LEE is the starter and I LOVE that.

JJ is gonna be a experienced, WINNER, change of pace qb.

That is WONDERFUL.

Les Miles knows what he is doing.

I will cheer like hell for whoever is in the game

My biggest fear is JJ getting 3-4 series a game

Just give him 4-5 snaps a game, 90% of which are zone option to Shepard

Well the good news is CLM didn't say "when" he could see that starting to happen. So, thinking wishfully - happening like maybe in the WKU game (hopefully), or in some game where JLee has lead the Tigers to a commanding lead and it would be ok to experiment - that's sort of like what happened last year.

if lee has est. a good rhythm during the course of the game, he's not gonna pull lee for jj. a change of the pace could be a good thing at times.

miles said he may use JJ similar to Lee last year. Lee didn't okay just 5-6 snaps per game. Lee got multiple series.

truly amazing, our starting QB, who played really well in the Cotton bowl just returned to the team and everyone is acting like this is bad news...

I just worry about JL being distracted or worried about being yanked

I hope he keeps his head all year long

There were games last year where lee threw like 3 passes.

It's going to depend on the game.

Not at all - no consistency in the offense.
Time for the cute short side option crap to stay on the sidelines along with the CRAPPY attitude.

Thats because we needed Lee to win a few games last year. I dont think we need JJ to win anything this year.

JJ should get mop-up just like Mett.

Who thinks Obama will fix the economy? Who thinks Iraq will ever fix their problems. Who thinks the stock market will recover in 2011?

Here's one for you....who wants to wait and see if the coaching staff of the #1 team in the country can possibly figure out the right course of action?

In what, 2 or 3 games? Besides Florida, and the end of Tennessee, what other games did he play significant snaps in? ULM and McNeese?

Expect loses to Florida, Bama and possibly Arkansas if this happens.

I think I see the OPs point... 3-4 series = 3-4 punts that Wing pins inside the 5 yardline. Then TM7 hits them with the pick 6. BRILLIANT!!!!

I think this is better than having JJ redshirt and try to come back next year.

Who knows...we might need him. Remember, he played really well against Bama and A&M.

And Lee has not proven that he can make it thru an entire season w/o getting injured.
