For those who haven’t heard, that Alabama-LSU game in Tuscaloosa will be this season’s de facto SEC championship. The “SEC Championship” in Atlanta in December will merely fulfill the process.

The Alabama-LSU game will be the regular season’s national championship, and that BCS final in New Orleans in January will merely fulfill the process.

No sense in speculating. We'll find out on November 5.

Bama has legitimate monsters straight out of pumkinhead. Their linebackers and secondary is scary

Gotta get there first. Florida is the biggest concern right now.

Bama has the better front 7. LSU has the better secondary.

I think their insanely good linebackers gives them an edge, but I also think we have a better offense

I think statistically its Bama. I believe this is scewed abit as Chavis's d scheme against WVU was designed to contain and give up the short yardage without giving up the big play. Clearly it worked but we gave up a ton of total yards. Fortunately there is no crystal ball for statistic leaders.

Well the 500+ yds we gave up doesn't help our argument.

But Bama hasn't played an offense like WVU or Oregon.

Both are good enough to shut down the other teams Offense. It should come down to turnovers, and special teams play on Nov 5.

If Saban has seen the future, I'm glad he's seen both LSU and Alabama go into their meeting undefeated. I guess I can skip watching the next 4 or 5 LSU games since we've already won them. Imagine: four games into the season we're 9-0. Cool.

Being half right ain't bad, I guess.

What makes their corners any better than ours?

NFL Scouts on Saturday in the Press Box were saying that LSU has more than 4 NFL players in its secondary.

Right now.

More. Than. Four.

So tell me what Alabama's got, Brostradamus. Oh, and check in with your NFL scouting credentials at the same time.

Alabama has better lb's! It ends their.

Oh and statistics only tell the whole story if you look at all of the statistics. Who has Alabama played and who has LSU played. That factors into the statistics if you want to be intellectually honest.

I don't give a shite what scouts and analyst say about NFL players, because the same or more has been said about bamas defense. They completely destroyed petrinos offense. There are no weak spots or holes. You have your opinion and I have mine and I think Alabama has the better overall d for now. I do think we have a better overall offense

THIS.

Right now, it is probably a toss-up. However, both defenses have a little over a month to go before we play each other. A lot can happen in that time in terms of maturity as well as injuries.
