TM7 made a huge play with the tip, but dont let it be forgotten that the play took place after Miles decided to accept a WVU penalty on third down instead of declining the penalty and letting WVU punt. If Lester declines the penalty it never allows TM7 to make that play. Hats off to THE HAT!!!! That was a great in game decision.

Well, yeah, but it was the right call. If he declined, it would have been 4th and 4, at midfield, with just a little time left. They were in that comeback mode and had just got a TD, and you had that feeling they were going to go for it. It was just the right call at that time IMO. Tyrann thinks so, too.

Stop talking about GOOD game time decisions Les Miles makes....This is the Rant.....we only deal with Neg. Les Miles game time decisions!!

I think it wouldn't have been quite midfield. I think they would have been on their own 40 or so and 4th and 4 is a tough decision with only 45 seconds left in the half. I doubt they would have gone for it bc at this point they were only down two scores. Either way I think this is one of those things that got overlooked and could have been a game changer had he made the other decision.

I'd have made them punt.
That's why I do tax returns for a living, and CLM coaches LSU.

At first when he took the penalty i was a little confused...but then i realised a few things. For one...if we jump offsides or hold during the punt..they get a first down. If we make them run another play and hold them to little yardage...call a TO and make their sorry arse punter have to kick from further back...maybe we get great field position and can get a FG.
That was definitely the right call...but not so obvious right away.
