Lowe (9-16, 4.92 ERA) vs Oswalt (8-10, 3.86 ERA)

Little does the baseball world know that, due to the Comet Elenin's path lining up with the earth and sun again, maligned Braves pitcher Derek Lowe will throw a perfect game tonight. The news of this shocking development will be felt all the way to Houston, (NASA is located here...coincidence? I think not) where the Cardinals will blow a 5 run lead to the Astros in the late innings to secure the Wild Card for the Braves.

You've all been warned.

From last night's thread:

EOF: 0.9863 ERA, 73 innings, 77 appearances

Lowest ERA all-time in at least 75 appearances: Eric Gagne with a 1.20 ERA in 77 appearances and 82.1 innings.

Gagne won the Cy Young

Phils have hit triple digits so at this point I don't really see anything else to gain except the possibility of knocking out a division rival. Should be a lot of young guys and bench players in the lineup tonight, does anybody know if the Phils are going to throw somebody from the bullpen tomorrow night to start?

With the postseason hanging in the balance, I'm still confused as to why Gonzalez is trotting out this pitching lineup for this series. Must have a vacation planned for later on in the week.

I have been confused by several things he has done.

I am still trying to understand why Chipper stayed in the game for three innings after he hurt his leg running the bases. I know that they wanted to get him one more at bat to see if he could put one out, but he was a liability in the field.

Like I said yesterday.. The Phills want the Cards in the 1st round not the D-Backs or Brewers and will everything they can to help (sucks the Cards can't close) and from what I have seen Hamels is throwing tomorrow
