I feel like there has been a lot of talk(mainly by wvu fans) about the atmosphere and how tough it is in Morgantown at night. I mean do the broke back mountaineers think the Swamp, Bryant Denny, Jordan Hare and for that matter any SEC venue is easy to go on the road at. They act like LSU has never played in an away game that has significance?

Corso said the Tigers have never played in an atmosphere like that, so it must be true.

Maybe he was just talking about the coal dust in the air.

you ask a question with a period and give a statement with a question mark

But I agree...we'll see. This game is like the NC for west virginia.

Don't worry, the moonshine will wear off eventually. Then they'll face the reality of being a mediocre team in a perennial also-ran of a program.

Been all over town and all Neer's have been very friendly. One even told me what a nice time he had in BR last year and wished me the same!

They support their team just like the fans here. The difference is that we see the support that UT/Bama/Au/Ark/Florida get at their stadium and so we know that any rabid fanbase is equally hostile.

Since they rarely play any such good team (especially during the season) they tend to think that it is really hostile when in reality, at best, it is probably on par with any other good SEC venue.

Their dinky stadium holds sixty thousand. Take account of the visiting allotment and they will have total of 55K cheering for the Mountaineers. That's equivalent to MSU. It's also the same number of LSU fans that used to attend games in the darkets hour of the Hallman era. I piss on their home field advantage.

I have watched night games of wvu. Reminds me of how tiger stadium used to be pre-2003. I think it will be more hostile then state easily. If they come out clicking, and it takes us a bit to adjust, it will not be a fun game to watch.

WVU will be crazy, but you're right LSU has heard it before.

It will be good though. Our 60k does sound more like 80k though when we get going.

I'll say this:
Morgantown is a very hostile area at night. Not all of us are crazy fans on Moonshine....but we are crazed. LSU fans seem to have fit right in, but most left downtown shortly after dark. In all honesty, your fans have handled themselves much better than any other SEC fans that have traveled north to MoTown! You guys are way more fun to hang with than say Auburn fans. They were scared out of their minds. Thanks for the awesome treatment in BR last year and for the most part we have reciprocated that treatment. Cheers, guys! I hope we can continue to play one another!

Except for the little fact that it has THIRTY THOUSAND fewer fans. Simple logic indicates that 55K won't be nearly as loud or disruptive as 85K.

They are over hyping the shite out of Morgantown. Give me a break. LSU plays in games like this all the time on the road. I am 100 percent sure LSU could give a shite less how loud it will be tonight. We are ready and we will silence the crowd by the 4th quarter.

I'm sitting at a bar in downtown motown. Great atmosphere but I feel like I'm going to a pee wee football game. WVU really isn't talkn smack. Maybe the shine hasn't kicked in yet.
