I think something that isn't being discussed but should be a significant factor is WVU's defense vs. LSU's offense.

Well the bad part of it is that for LSU WVU defense knows that 60-70% of the plays in the first half will be runs mixed with a few playaction passes.

X-factor will be Shepard. Where does he fit in? Decoy or actual threat?

I think LSU CAN overpower WVU defense in the trenches but for how long is the question? My concern is what do we do on those 2nd and 3rd and long scenarios.

We have a new head coach but our defensive coordinator is still Jeff Casteel. The only complaint I have about the guy is that he goes "prevent" too early in a game when we're up, and we let the other team catch back up on us. Frickin Maryland almost beat us with that shite.

But we can have a pretty stingy defense when we're motivated. I'm looking at LSU's offensive numbers, and I'm more concerned for you in this aspect of the game than any of you apparently are. Yes, your defense is glorious, but ours is definitely not bad.
