Saw this today, don't know if posted yet. The gates at top and the windows look pretty good!

I like it. Didn't know they were fixing those as well. It will never be done in time though.

that does look good....now it's time to start doing something constructive with that space....

I'd be curious to know how much asbestos/lead paint abatement was done to the rooms where the new windows were installed...that would make it much cheaper for whatever the follow-on will be...

We were wondering if they were going to take out that ugly chain link fence. Thanks for sharing. This looks nice.

Did they change the fence around the field as well? I thought I recalled hearing that, but didn't pay attention at the NSU game.

Any update on the white PVC pipe visible under the west upper deck?

Probably none. You would know if that work is being performed an a large scale at TS. There would be large tarps covering the stadium facade from top to bottom with DANGER signs posted everywhere and swarms of workers in Hazmat suits with vacuum trucks, etc. Basically the area would be quarantined while the work is going on.

This. I didn't realize how much it would really cost until I talked to somebody who dealt with asbestos in buildings from the insurance side of it.

ETA: and for anyone wondering about the costs of abatement, this is for a home, so just start multiplying and you can get an idea of the enormity of the undertaking.

quote:

1. Initial inspections = $400 – $800 per square foot 2. Re-inspections (after the abatement is complete) = $200 – $400 3. Removal = $15-$25 per square foot 4. Enclosure = $2 – $6 per foot 5. Encapsulation = $2 – $6 per foot 6. Repair = $9 – $15 per square foot (approx. 40% of removal cost)

I'll check on the way out. It seems busy with minor construction jobs all over.

That looks good. But something has to be done about cleaning up the facade. It looks like shite wtih all those gray blotches.
