Man Utd leads the all time series 37-23-32
all you need to know about one of the best rivalries in england
man united are expected to field many youngsters as opposed to the last meeting between these teams in January 2010 when leeds stunned an experience man utd side in the fa cup.
however sir alex is still expected to bring along select veterans like michael owen, dimitar berbatov, and park ji sung.
leeds may rest some players as well with an eye on friday night's league matchup with brighton. manchester united will be favored in this match and i expect them to win. the most important thing for leeds(err.. ken bates) is the gate receipts and income generated by hosting a cup tie against one of the biggest clubs in europe.
man united wins 2-1. will be a great atmosphere.

I like Leeds. Don't understand the sale of Gradel though. Leeds probably should have upset us at the Emirates last year. Do you think Sanchez Watt will go back on loan with you guys?

i was kind of hoping they'd take him on loan again but it hasn't materialized yet, maybe in january. was hoping to ghet lichaj too but that is off the table at least until january when he is healthy. i hated the gradel sale but it turns out he wanted to make the move for family reasons. hoping they can hold on to snodgrass and sam at least through this season. becchio coming back to health is huge.

I don't think SAF put out a strong side when we lost to Leeedscum 2 years ago in the FA Cup. He'll want to hammer the sheep shaggers.

Man Utd
* 29 Kuszczak
* 02 Neville
* 06 Brown
* 20 Fabio Da Silva
* 23 Evans
* 08 Anderson (Owen 69)
* 28 Gibson
* 09 Berbatov
* 10 Rooney
* 19 Welbeck (Valencia 57)
* 26 Obertan (Giggs 57)
not the strongest but definitely not a team littered with youth players. i read an article where michael carrick says he expects several first teamers to be in the team tonight.

Kuszczak,Neville,Brown and Obertan are no longer with the club. I think Kuszczak is still techincally with us,but he was not first choice 2 years ago. 2 years ago Fabio,Evans,Gibson and Wellbeck were definately youngsters that were being blooded. That leaves Ando,Berba and Wazza as the only recognizable first teamers that started that match against Leedsscum.

owen scores 1-0 man utd

Thought the lineup looked pretty strange with pretty much only 2 defenders. I'm reading the play-by-play on ESPN, "It really does look like a 4-2-4 at the moment with Macheda left and Diouf right."

2-0
great strike form owen for his 2nd

there are tons of streaming links if you search for them. but they are attacking. looks like berba and owen up top, macheda and diouf on the wings with park, giggsy and valencia in the center
Posted on 9/20/11 at 2:21 pm to Joe Blow
i hear ya...valencia misses an easy one

put an effort goalward and deflected in off becchio. owen's first 2 goals were spectacular. first goal was a brilliant finish from just outside the box, i think he got a touch from berba and it was a perfect ball in from i wanna say either carrick or valencia.
second goal was just a fantastic solo strike from about 20 yards out.
